The First Labor

Akatsuki sat up in personal room in the 12th division barracks, he pulled out the glass ball as he got in the cross leg position in front of it. Akatsuki could already see that night had fell in western Tokyo and the Menos was rampaging on the human souls that had not been picked up by the shinigami yet. The golden phone took Jin directly too the monster in the center of the large human city. Akatsuki hoped he wouldn't have to help the young shinigami and that Jin would live up to his hype.

Purifying the hollow was also equally important, monsters as powerful as this one made their jobs alot harder. With each passing day Akatsuki thought of new ways he could prevent the evolution of a hollow. Unfortunately he keeps running in to dead ends and there was nothing more efficient than the zanpakuto, his original creation, in handling them. He knew he couldn't end the cycle but it seemed like he couldn't alter the cycle either with the hollows seeming to get stronger with each generation.

Jin saw the massacre of souls and it made him angry, if this was what hollows did then he would stop them all. "YO, GIANT TURD!" He yelled at the hollow, to gain it's attention "Okay Rīpā, I think its time to shed your skin, -while drawing his blade he uttered the words- hold Jūryoku rīpā" his sword turned into a bulky scythe which he was holding as if it weighed nothing

The menos gave it's attention to Jin, it was rather large and ugly. It had white hair, grey skin, and spikes covered it's body. The menos realized Jin was a shinigami quickly from the young man's attire. He tried to end the shinigami quickly and blasted a cero large enough to level a straight line down the city.

The cero the menos fired seemed oddly familiar, jin spun his scythe in front of him using it as a shield, once the beam touched the spinning weapon jin usednita uncanny ability as a unraveled magnate. Due to the constant gaining and losing three times it's weight the bean was easily manipulated by the Zanpaktou which allowed jin to manipulate it and aim it towards the menos "that's all you got ugly?"

He only used that beam as a distraction while he ran towards the menos, jumping on its spikes till he got to the mask and launched a fury of blows, he estimated out of the 13 times he swung his scythe maybe 6 to 9 times the creature was cut by the scythe.

Akatsuki was happy that Jin found a way to avoid causing any damage to the area. The Menos didn't agree with it though and when redirected, the hollow hardened his skin. It allowed him to take the blast and the scythe that cut at it. Akatsuki seeing the ability now realized why it was so hard to purify this one.

Akatsuki speculated that no zanpakuto could pierce it's harden biological shield, it would be a perfect chance for Jin to prove how adaptable he was. If he could find a weak point or a way around the ability, it would also prove how smart the shinigami was.

Seeing the hallow gain no damage from his assult made Jin smile. "Okay okay let's get serious" he landed next to a boulder and with the staff of his scythe he launched it into the air, before it fell he slashed at it barley nicking it with his blade he counted six nicks so its original weight was multiplied by eighteen times.

"Special delivery" he spun and due to the nature of his scythe he was able to bat the boulder to the Hallow before the weight added to it. He then ran to the nearest tree jumping high into the air he then went to the nearest cloud he could reach before using his Scythe as a radiant pole to attract any electrical current hoping for a thunder storm or a lightning flash

The menos was purified and Akatsuki was summoned by the golden phone. Akatsuki was very proud of Jin who proved to be versatile in battle but had alot of room for improvement. Akatsuki also thought about how weak the former 2nd division captain was for him to not be able to handle something a recruit handled. Akatsuki pulled out his note pad again and recorded Jin's performance, then he held out his hand for Jin to return the phone.

Jin was confused as he was slowly stepping down from he sky, "captain where the hollow go?" He looked around to see if there was any trace of the creature but shrugged and turned his scythe back into a sword.
